Just a note, but Amy refused to say hi to Julia and Jenna in this clip but that doesn't mean she doesn't talk about them all the time! Children are unpredictable and Amy is completely that way! Oh, and it is still snowing...makes me think of Chesley. :)

Thanksgiving, feeding/sleeping, and scrapbooking
Already another post from me! Hmm, I guess it wasn't a very busy week? Not quite actually, but I think I relaxed more...I certainly don't have the cleanest house just now! But at least the floors look decent and the dishes are continually kept up seeing I have a DISHWASHER now! It has still been a rough week with Amy Jane. And I have to see if the nap I gave her today helps any with her attitude this afternoon, if so, that means she still needs an hours nap in the day. Hmm, I don't mind that! :) So here she is from last night...oh it wasn't nice, she kept undressing herself and I finally figured out why! She wanted to have her "night time" diaper on and go to bed and this is what happened she went onto the couch (without dinner) and fell asleep. Poor thing, it was only 5:30 too! Far too early for her, she did wake up again after 30 minutes maybe, and ate a good bowl of cereal, then we had worship and I put her to bed about 8ish again and she slept through just fine.
With all the stresses of last night, I was still enjoying feeding my wee boy mashed potatoes and some broccoli mixed in it. He can't stand my homemade baby food, but likes my mashed potatoes!

Of course you see, Amy Jane still likes strollers...and pushing her little brother around was exciting!
And so to keep my relaxation week going (it really wasn't that relaxing with all the meltdowns of a 2 yr old) I did some scrapbooking...and this was the only page I actually did so far here, the second was done in perth...blogger decided to switch which one began first, and therefore you have the second before the first.
I really liked how this one had turned out, but being the first page it needed, I thought, to look quite attractive. Sure, it could have been spruced up even more, but I have limited supplies and am trying to just do with what I have :) Anybody remeber this ultrasound pic of Amy sucking her thumb?? Cute eh? :)
We had our harvest thanksgiving this thursday (the same as American thanksgiving) and had our dinner at the home in Leverburgh which was nice since I didn't have to lift a finger to cook! ;) But I think it wouldhave been more suitable if it was turkey and not beef...ach well, I hope to have that next week maybe sometime.
Ooh it really is snowing yippie!!!! :) And I had best be off, hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Induction, pregnancy, breakdowns, and apple cobbler
I really wonder why we have to write titles for these posts! It is the same for emails, with the "subject" line *sigh* and the same problem applies there too. Ah well, maybe by the end of this post I'll have title thought up.
The induction, according to Jett, went well and there was a lot of people present. I wish I could have gone, but I think it would have been far too much for myself and two little ones that needed their beds! I ended up watching a DVD Living in the Freezer or something like that, quite interesting since I didn't know much about Antarctica...and probably most people think it's just cold and full of snow and ice right? Well, I was quite surprised that it wasn't "all" though the majority is just snow and ice. I tried going to bed...not good, it never works when Jett is gone. I tossed for an hour probably maybe snoozed here and there and then Jett came home about 2ish in the morning. And then Aaron was bad for the rest of the night so not a good night at all. I don't want to think about next week when Jett is to go to Inverness for the Theological Conference and that means two or three nights away. :( And then this Sabbath he will be in Uig.
It is almost 10 this morning and maybe not the best thing to be on here (I know it isn't) but if I don't do it now it likely won't get done at all today and then who knows when it will get done this week!
It is almost the end of November already, wow, where does the time go? My bump is growing faster than what I am ready for...well, I feel that way. I still have the delivery and afterbirth pains from Aaron very fresh in my mind...and it is scaring me hopefully by the time I reach 9 months I'll have it less fresh...which doesn't make it easier though. I'm needing good proper advice from some mothers out there, J and I are talking about where to have the baby born, and we're wondering what is the best thing for us and the baby to do. Should we leave after J's done his classes and get back to some settled spot for the summer which is just two weeks before the due date? Or should we just wait here and have baby born on the island? See, a lot of people wouldn't think maybe much different of either places since there is the hospital but I'm not wanting a hospital birth but a homebirth again. Problem, the nearest hospital here is an hour and a half away...is that safe? What do you think? Some say "oh just go to the hospital" but I'm not so sure I want to do that...I'm used to having my own space doing my own things, and having NO interventions whatsoever and that includes pain relief! A homebirth on the mainland though might be a real hassle to work out since I would be stretched for time and I might have a lot of angry midwives and consultants who probably would say I needed to book a homebirth by such and such weeks in the pregnancy... what to do what to do! Awaiting comments :)
On another note, yesterday was absolutely beautiful outside other than later on when it began to rain, but it was horrible inside! Amelia was having one of her emotional breakdowns and although they are not often, they do happen maybe once a month? It was very very difficult to deal with her...how do you deal with a child like that? If she starts to break down there is no use to "disciplining" her because it doesn't work we've tried that, so I thought well, lets just stick her in her room and let her fuss up there...well, I have yet to convince Jett that that might work. It did for a while I thought, and then she broke down again...*sigh* it is not easy, and if anyone hasn't had girls like this you have no idea what it is to go through it! Jett was stunned, he really was, he couldn't understand why nothing was working. Anyways, that doesn't mean we are letting her walk over us by no means!!
So on to some pictures :)

Oh did I forget to tell you who came to visit us last Saturday?! Didn't snap one of Wylie, but he came too...was so nice to see you both! Amelia couldn't stop talking (the next morning) about "Dabid and Cathrine" it was funny. Cath ended up reading many books to Amy...and well, Amy fell for it - she loves books!

Ah, a find from the starfall website (thanks again Sharon!) you can print out these for free of the whole alphabet!

The finished product yummy, Apple Cobbler, sadly I didn't bake it quite long enough and some of the batter was still runny...*sigh*!! I know Hayley is saying to herself "Food pictures never look good" hmm, I didn't forget did I haybales? ;)

So, that is about it from here. We're missing another Thanksgiving...second one in a row, and I'm sad about that. I suppose I need to get my own dinner going...but the fact is it just isn't as nice without family. Ah well, I'm thankful we are able to see, Lord willing, family in Dec! Must attend my fussing children. another *sigh*! :)

Aaron working on a puzzle... he has figured out that the little red things on each piece is what you hold onto while trying to put it in place...which that part he hasn't mastered.

Another funny thing about my picky eater...she likes mustard!! Grilled cheese isn't grilled cheese without mustard I know, strange combination to some but I grew up on this.

Our baby!
It has been another busy week (aren’t they all?) except this time it was a little more busier because of yesterday’s appointment. So I finally saw a doctor (a Gynae…) and a midwife who seemed to be acting the “I’ll get that for you doctor…” part and then some little student nurse who sat there listening to all my details being read off… *sigh*. Yep, I again am realizing how much I dislike doctors…this one was nice but still, she had to run the show…and to me I’m used to one on one care from the midwife who doesn’t act like she’s running the show but taking care of me and trying to do what I would like done. The doctor asked me how far along I thought I was and I answered “14 weeks and 2 days” she gawked at me as if to say “how can you know that?” little does she know but I have a ticker that tells me lol! But of course she can’t go by what I say and has to confirm it herself…right as if I would tell her something different?! I was amused (I’ll say that although, maybe annoyed was a bit more likely?) when she asked all the “usual” questions about my previous pregnancies if they were ok, if I had any problems afterwards and so on, and then she tells the midwife in front of me “I think she is a low risk case” I’m kind of thinking…”Uhm, how about trying this: ‘NO RISK case’??” I haven’t had “risks” yet, and I hope none will come this time, but we just don’t know the future of course. Anyways, you can see I’m so much for a midwife and NO doctors…hmm, I wonder why? J Anyways, besides the above the best part of the whole visit was getting to see our beautiful 14 week old baby who was wriggling and kicking about and healthy plump and measuring exactly what he or she ought to. I got to see a beautiful hand with fingers, and the feet, the head, main body and legs…but something is sweet about the hands…not sure why? So I got a picture…definitely NOT the best one she had to keep that one for her “measurement records” (right…the trash? I’m teasing.) So but I’m wanting to share our wee ones picture with you, who is about the size of a lemon…now, isn’t that just amazing? And how can people have abortions…I will never understand that! So here he or she is… and of course I feel so relieved to know there is a growing baby in there!
Now whoever read the above must be a mommy or a female that likes details, no boy would be "that" interested! ;)

Quick post here...I hope!
First of all, a Happy Birthday to my Oma Kuiper!! (yesterday!) I would have called yesterday but was away for a good part of the day and didn't feel well enough to call, but I'll try today! And a Happy Birthday to my nephew Kenneth who turned 6 on the 12th!
Had a hard start this morn as Amy Jane decided to throw a fit of crying and wouldn't stop (or temper?) and then I was worried I was going to get sick...yes you see I'm not suffering horribly from the morning sickness, but it lasts so much longer than 13 weeks for me! Yesterday first thing, I got sick which wasn't soo bad being the first thing and was able to cope with everything but I think it does take alot of my energy. :( Oh but the funny thing about pregnancy is that I would do it over and over again because the outcome Lord willing, is the same: a precious baby! Well, I won't go through Amy Jane's pregnancy but I wouldn't trade her for anything either...even though it was sooo rough those first 4-5 months (during pregnancy that is)!?
So, I have no pictures but I wanted to share my cute son :) This is our entertainment each night watching the kids or playing with them lol!

*sigh*
I'm sitting here, when I ought to be washing the dishes, or folding diapers, or hanging up some wet laundry. Hmm, isn't that how I normally start these posts! It is raining here, and it doesn't look like it will let up much this week. :( Maybe I should start a book called the "Return of the Gales"...it would be rather boring though :)
So, we were home this weekend, Sabbath we went to Leverburgh, Jett preached in the morning and the children were good. I take them in the sanctuary if the building doesn't have a nursery or a vestry with a sound system. Although I prefer staying in the sanctuary all the time, sometimes I just know the kids will not be good. Took them again in the evening and Amelia slept the whole way through (had no nap) but Aaron was rearing to go...so I spent most of the time in the cold porch letting him crawl around in his snowsuit.
Monday...oh boy. What a miserable day for me. We went earlier in the day (to get a head start) for Stornoway, yes our groceries. But again, I started to feel nauseas 3/4's of the way there...so we decided I should drive, but it was too late, we stopped and although I was trying hard not to get sick I just couldn't...so out I went in the wind and rain getting sick on the side of the road...blah, not fun! Jett felt sorry for me...which was nice, although it didn't take away the gross feelings. And on we went, I was so wiped when we reached Tesco, because of me being sick that I nearly just told Jett to get everything, but I pushed myself. I then realized how some people can be rude, like not moving their trolleys out of the way so you can get past, and here I'm thinking, I have a heavy full trolley, one child in the seat, I'm pregnant and was just recently sick, please move! Ah well, we got it done, but didn't manage to get my fresh veg that I needed (and no strawberries...sniff) We tried the co-op but they didn't have a whole lot either but at least I got my brocoli and carrots (oh this sounds dull I know). Anyways, I just never recovered from being sick that whole day. I'm feeling better now, although tired.
Jett is off till thursday I think, from class. Thursday I'm supposed to see a midwife (so confused about the system here) in Tarbert. She was planning on taking blood and then I said the doctor already did! There is no way they are going to take blood more than they need to! I could have told them certain things anyway, like I'm RH-, I'm not immune to the rubella...so why do you have to take those tests?? oh right, you probably don't believe me...right, I just had a baby, why wouldn't I know my details?? Why can't you just get my notes from Edinburgh? Ok, enough of me rambling you get my point of course, that some of these blood tests although they are "routine" why do they need to be there when you already know what they are going to say? :) I'm 13 weeks yesterday! I'm starting to get excited...lol I laugh at that because I can't believe I am getting excited on getting huge again and having to deal with back pain...sigh, it isn't that that I'm thinking of though, but the sweet baby I'm carrying. :)
Must get lunch going soon.

picatures
I have a few moments as Amy's duck decided to quack and sing again and it is keeping them quite occupied so I thought I would post the photos I've been meaning to. None of them are greatly interesting, but I do hope to fix that once we actually see people (ahem, or rather I remember to take my camera!!).
Jett went to a ladies house (with the other two students) for lunch today, I would have gone but I've been so tired lately and find it rather daunting to go far especially when I have to keep the kids from getting into things and from being naughty! Anyways the lady gave a few things for the children plus my dinner!! Oh it is nice not to have to cook especially when I'm so low on ideas. Suggestions anyone??

Aaron standing with the help of the stairs.
Again standing with the help of the toy box.
This is when Amelia was talking to Oma on the phone last night lets see if you can make out any of the story line... obviously the abc's is at the latter part!

Sniffles, hair, 9 months and etc.
Oh the sniffles! Or rather, maybe it's just sinus problems. Allergies? Or pregnancy related? Hmm, not sure, but one thing is for sure it is annoying! Ach well, if that is all I'm suffering from it isn't much now is it?
Just a moment ago Amelia was letting out her screeches and if anybody has 2 year olds they will know just how ear piercing that can be especially Amelia, she takes after me. Anyways, then I hear a "My hair!!" and then a "No Aaron! My hair!" Yes, Aaron likes to pull hair, and Amelia's is usually the target. Poor thing, if I let Aaron have his way she might have massive bald patches by now. I did laugh though, just because her vocabulary is getting wider, and it is just neat to hear her use it in everyday situations.
Well! Aaron is 9 months now! And here is a few things he has accomplished lately or within the past month...
Oh and chocolate chips are a great reward for potty training or at least I've found! We've had more success lately...I just hope it stays for once. I'm worried about going to Texas and having it all ruined...ugh. Maybe it won't be.
Bye for now then. :)

Well! Aaron is 9 months now! And here is a few things he has accomplished lately or within the past month...
- Crawling, at first it was the right ideal way of crawling but now it is one knee on the floor and the other leg has it's foot on the floor (did that make sense?)
- Gets himself to a standing position (of course holding onto things) and this is anywhere - Daddies legs, toy box, stairs etc!
- Likes to play with his one finger, always one finger is pushing the buttons or making a mess with spilled food
- Bounces to any sort of music or anything that sounds like it (but he might have done this ages ago)
- Makes strange to strangers and prefers Mommy and Daddy best.
- Loves loves loves his Daddy...and crawls as fast as he can to Daddy everytime Daddy is in the room (absolutely cute to see!)
- Can copy some things, like sticking out tongue etc :)
- And I can't think of anything else!
